Our custom built cms
Apart from e-commerce site's which require special software, all our sites run on our own custom built Content Management System. Our CMS allows you to quickly and easily update your site's content wherever possible. We already have many modules built for the CMS meaning your site will be up and running even quicker, here's just a few:
- News; which also doubles up as a blog with comments and social networking integration with Facebook and Twitter.
- Portfolio; gives you a dedicated area to show your work off, allow comments and link to Facebook and Twitter.
- Schedule; for events. Allows you to enter start dates, end dates, locations, show the location on a map with pin point longitude and latitude precision, link to a ticket sales website
- Team; for showing the world who you are.
- Gallery
- Contact
- Videos; Grabs a stream from a YouTube account and allows the user to watch them on your website
- Links; The old favourite link sharing page with click counting
There are too many features of the CMS to list, but some key features of our CMS include:
Content
Pages and content for websites changes constantly so, by default, our CMS allows you to edit and add new pages whenever you like.
You can also have the ability to change the naivgation whenever you like; so, if you don't know what's going to be most important for your website straight away, you can always change it later.
HTML Editor
This editor allows you to edit your site to it's full potential with HTML but if you don't have to know HTML to use it - it provides exactly the same interface and tools you will find in any text editor. You can align text, bold text, underline text, insert hyperlink, add lists and include images.
Inline Editor
If you don't need the full power of the editor in the adminsitration area but want to change some text quickly, you can simply click any main content area you see and quickly edit it straight away. Click out the box and the change is saved with no hassle.
Image Editor
You can upload images for use across your website either when editing content or via the dedicated Image Manager.
Inside the Image Manager you can add additional information about the image; where it was taken, when it was taken and a description. Images are cropped to the correct sizes when you upload them, but if you want a more precise crop you can also crop the image using the built in image cropper.
Powerful
Our CMS is built upon the Zend Framework which is built by the people who make PHP; one of, if not the, most popular web development language.
All areas of our CMS and website's also incorporate Dojo, a JavaScript framework which allows us to add special effects and client interaction to our sites.
Hosted
Because our CMS runs off a central repository (which allows you to add features to your site whenever you wish to), our sites are hosted on our own servers.
We utilize the power of the Grid Service from Media Temple, with dedicated database servers, which allow us to serve your website quickly and safely but also ensure we always have backup servers around the world.
